Contributions Challenge 1:

Assignment 1 - Research and report.

A development problem constraints and solutions by safe home

No one can deny that wars and conflicts cause a big problem which is the difficulty of find a safe home. So, what are the effects and solutions of this problem?

Due to the wars and conflicts in different spaces in the world especially Syria, many effects was appeared. To begin with, a lot of people lost their houses and their countries. Another effect is the growing of the number of the refugees that was estimated approximately 50 million. The last effect is the refugees also are living in urban and bad situations.

We should take in consideration that our country Morocco is one of the received countries. We suggest solving this problem by creating national and regional strategies for managing mixed migration movement.  Second, we should institute offices which help the refugees gain access to housing, and basic social services and opportunities to become self-reliant. Third, we ought to establish national asylum systems consistent with international standards.

In our opinion, it’s a very important thing to fulfill the peace in the world and develop urban programs in the countries with limited capacity to assist the growing number of refugees because these populations face difficult socioeconomic challenges

Assignment 2 - A poem or rap

Tell me why, I'm in the wrong way

As a homeless child stuck in a grid

Tenderness and humanity are gone

Nevertheless, I still struggle again

Tell me why, my safety doesn't stay

What do you mean by safety?

Safe home, safe environment

Health and enjoyment

Oh! I remember, it is my home where I got grown

But now it's all gone

Tell me why, I got to cry

No! No! I have to pray

What's my guilty? I'm a human being,

I did nothing. I'm someone who needs love,

Mercy, Compassion, and safety

Oh! Oh! Tell me why, Why...

Assignment 3 - Make a cartoon

Assignment 4 - Compose a part of the Learning Circle song.

Every child has the right to live this life without fright

To sleep peacefully through the night

Without fear for their precious lives

Every child’s kingdom is their life

Adults are guardians

Guarding their rights

To a full and trouble-free existence

Spared from the madness of war where life is insignificant

Every child needs the fullness of peace

To develop and grow with ease

Children are the future

It’s their rights we need to please

May they forgive those who are bringing them to their knees.

Hello! I looked over your post and I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the poem and the picture, these were made by real masters. Your opinion was a good one, we all need to fulfill the peace in the world.

     Ioana

I like a lot your poem, it gives me a feeling that some people actually care about this world. It really inspires me. I also like the cartoon, your really have the talent to draw. I like the fact that you drew the flags that the women wear at a scarf on her head. It was a good idea!  Good job!

     Robert

I believe that the initiative to go to a company that uses child labor is a very good idea. This makes the company owners to be aware that people around know that children in the company are used in various work. Congratulations for your article!

     Andrew (2)

    Hi guys!

We want to tell you ‘congratulations’ for all that work you have done in this first phase of the project .It was cool to watch photos of you and of your posters . Good job and we wish you the best .

Contributions Challenge 2:

Assignment 1 - Design your own school of learning environment.

In our opinion, we strongly believe that we are really satisfied with our school. Our rate is based on the quality of a lot of things we learn from our school. However, our school needs many basic things as some libraries. But we adapt easily with this problem. For me, the nicest place in our school is some quotations and sayings we have recently drawn on the walls of our school. So, I consider them the beautiful thing in my school because they always encourage me to do the best. My school in 2020 would look like as a five star hotel.  I can learn best in my school if I have some natural areas as green trees and flowers.

1) Wh at  makes you want to learn something new?

My curiosity to gain more knowledge and my ambition to create and make change in my city and my country is what make me want to learn something new.

2) Where did you learn something to remember?

Thanks to my curiosity to know more, I always go to the library and I choose some suitable books. But I prefer to sit in silent places with a low light to concentrate more, and also to remember many pieces of information about many different topics.

3) Should your teacher explain to you what you need to know for the future, or do you learn to make choices in school, to learn HOW you learn best?

For me, I have learnt to make choices because I am responsible and I know how I can learn best and what I want to do for the future without the need for clarifications of my teachers, but only some of the instructions.

4) Do you decide yourself WHAT you learn, HOW you learn and WHEN?

For sure I feel strongly that everyone has the opportunity to choose whatever he/she wants. Moreover, me too I have the chance to do whatever I want to do.

5) What are the conditions for learning in a way that suits you best?

My conditions are learning in nicest places and silent can make me learn more and gain the knowledge that I need.

6) Can you become who you are at school?

Yes, I always behave in my school as I am and a lot of friends consider me as a model for them because they doubt that I have special relevance to guide them to the right way thanks to my optimistic and ambitious personality.

Assignment 2 - Research - Check your belongings.

Report about children labor in this world

We find many children who work in different companies. Every day, we see them working and all that make us aware of children labor because the suitable places of children is not at work, but there is a better place which is school to study and learn .

On Sunday, April 24th, 2016, we went to a cloth company in Assa city. Its name is Aâqaqir Yabssa. It's a company that buys and sells different products. We asked the manager of the company many questions. We had interview with him. In the beginning, he didn't give the possibility for us to do the interview with him but at the final he agreed to give us what we wanted.

We asked him many questions about his company like:

~ Where their goods are manufactured and are they from places where child labor might exist?

~ Does the company take measures to combat child labor in their production lines? If so what are they?

~ Does the company experience difficulties in combating child labor? If so what are they?

He answered: “ In my company, I help the children who don’t have a family and also who have it. They are not rich that’s why the children are working to get money to help their parents and to finish study.

We know that it is the truth because the parents are poor. They send their children to work and get money because they don't know the better places for their children. The answer to justify the questions is that my company needs a lot of work to be finished. So, it has an importance in the child life.

Hello,

We would like to say that we have some things in common, we also need a lot of things in our school. We like the fact that you mentioned simple things, basic things. Then , we liked the fact that you would like to change something in your town or country. We also want to make changes about our country.

Your investigation was extremely interesting. So there are children who work in your area...We understand the reasons behind this..Unfortunately...

Congratulations for your work!

All the best!

Teo

I really like what you have written, I wish we could draw on the walls of our school .

A letter to the jury of GTP:

Hello,

My name is Abla BOUTAFSSOUT. I am 18 years old. I live In Assa. It is a small city in the south of Morocco. I am very happy because I participate in this project with you. It gives me a lot of information about the children’s rights, and it helps me to have experience in my life.

I want to write about one of children’s rights. I want to see every child with the possibility to do this right. It is the right to have good health and safe home. I have chosen to write about this right because in our society, we see many social problems like: street children, child labour…etc. Many children don’t have this right because they don’t have family to give them health care and home. They just work and people practice violence on them.

For me, I want to make all the associations aware of children who don’t have health care and home because every child has a dream to have this right. The suitable places of children is not at work and live in the street, but there are better places which are schools to study and learn in, homes with their families to give good health care.

         Titoune quarter

         Assa . Morocco

         28th ,April,2016

       To the jury of GTP,

  Dear Sir or Madam,

I'm writing to you  to talk about the lessons that I have learnt from the Learning Circle Children's Rights 2016. First, I'm Fatimatou Raghay from Oukba Ibnu Nafiaa High School in Assa, Morocco.

On the one hand, there are several things I like about this learning circle project. The top of all is learning a lot of interesting pieces of information concerning children's rights.

On the other hand, there are a few things I didn't like. I mean you didn't create new accounts for the participantsto know each other and to discover new cultures by themselves.

Then,I'm going to choose the right of education, which is the essential right that every child should benefit from, why? It is because I notice that ignorance contributes and affects the way of living of every child. And every educated child can make the change in this world.

So as a conclusion, I think that education is a necessary right in life of children and I suggest to develop this right to try as much as possible to create schools everywhere especially at the villages and try to make the education free to help poor kids to study because as the nice quote says: "education is the best friend,an educated person is respected everywhere, education beasts the beauty and the youth"

Best Wishes

       RAGHAY Fatimatou

Evaluation:

In this project, I have learnt a lot of information about how to work in a group with friends in order to share many different ideas beacause every one has the freedom to give ideas and to express opinion about the work but what is important in this project is how to give every one the right to say his or her point of view. The difficulty is when we don't have only idea to work with.

            By: BOUTAFSSOUT Aabla

As you know, I have the honor to write to you what I have learned from your nice project. But let me first thank you for giving me the opportunity to participate in it. So, without any doubt I learnt many information especially the ones that are concerned with children's rights. Also, I enjoyed working on your different assignments. Really, it was an unforgettable experience for me. Thanks to your efforts to develop working in this project. So, thank you again

             By: RAGHAY Fatimatou

This project is really good for us because we have required many things. We did many interesting things in that project and that is with pleasure to me and all my friends who participated in it. Thank you for that. In my opinion, I think that the project is wonderful and amazing this year and the year before. I am so proud to participate in that project.

             By; ELKTIF Elazza

I think that every thing in this project is very good and I have enjoyed it very much and also I acquired many things like how I work in groups and to participate in any thing. In my opinion, this project is really good and thanks for my group because they did great work all together.
